It starts from cradle and continues until grave, wrapping tentacles of powerlessness around women & girls. It violates basic human rights, overburdens health systems with hospitalizations and chronic diseases, lowers income and productivity due to lost work days, causes mental health effects on family and kids, thus adversely affecting the human, social & economic development and creating an unhealthy society.
